Private training may be in your office, Rock Valley College or in Michaelsen Studio.
Group Classes are at Rock Valley College, Rockford University and at approved sites.

 

Students are welcome to sit or stand.  Tai Chi and Chi Kung is easily modified for your individual needs.
Training may include positions and movements for hands, wrists, ankles, stances and walking.
Strengthen and comfort core and back with leg lifts and kicks.

WHAT IS Chi KuNG (qigong)
is an important foundation for Tai Chi Training.  Chi Kung uses relaxing,
slow movements, imagination and breathing to build and balance the body's chi. 
Chi Kung can be a powerful means of improving inner strength, mental calm and
encouraging the body’s best health and fitness.

 

 
WHAT IS TAI CHI
(Taijiquan)
 uses slow, dance like movements to build balance, coordination, strength and memory,
sooth aches and pains.  Tai Chi refers to the interplay of yin and yang principles. 
Chuan indicates this combat system also quiets and focuses the mind for best health. 
Regular practice of Tai Chi Chen, Sun, Yang, Fan and Sword Forms
moderate the effects of aging and boost the immune system.

AT ARE TAI CHI FAN & SWORD
Tai Chi Fans and Swords are used for strength training.
Weapon training can be similar to western weights in addition to improving awareness
and relationship to the space around him/her.  Fan and Sword can improve the mind’s
ability to sense possible danger preventing, injuries and are self defense.
